Your adapted celebration for the beginning of the school year sounds fun, though! <br /><br />What I find encouraging about homeschooling our children (for the first time - our oldest is 5) is that they can experience the thrill of starting school without the fear and anxiety of feeling like being thrown into a shark pool. I remember that feeling, too, and dreading it each year.
